Ash destination
What to do with the ashes of a deceased (cremation)? Where the ashes go to, is called the ash destination. Nowadays, the legislator allows more and more options. Relatives can choose to bury the urn in a cemetery or in a woodland burial ground, or to place it in a columbarium or burial grave. Ashes can of course also be kept at home, in an ornamental urn. Relatives are entitled to the urn home with them (in a special box) or can arrange this after making an appointment with the funeral director. Families can also choose to have the ashes scattered.
Crematorium Daelhof offers a number of destination options for ashes:

Memorial plaque
In memory of the deceased, we offer the possibility for you to hang a memorial plaque on the memorial wall of the scatter garden. You can choose between a memorial plaque with or without a picture of the deceased. Memorial plaques are fixed on the wall for a renewable term of 10 years. If you are interested, please ask your funeral director to arrange the necessary formalities.
Columbarium
Relatives also have the option of placing the urn in a niche in the columbarium, adjacent to the scatter garden. The concessions for an additional columbarium niche are granted for a renewable period of 20 years. A concession can be arranged through your funeral director.
